In the early 1970s, the future publisher, then a teenager, was a frequent customer of the Esoteric , the first bookstore  specialized in the genre in Quebec, located on the legendary rue Saint-Denis in Montreal. His interest in the spiritual world grew as quickly as his passion for the ancient texts that lined the shelves of the little shop. Zen Buddhism, Tibetan Tantrism, shamanism, Hatha yoga, Hara, were for him so many subjects of study and meditations which will put him on the Way.

At the age of nineteen, he will live a numinous experience that will transform him forever. Poetry will then impose itself on him as the only way to translate the magnificence of the reality he has perceived (see Par-delà le premier jour).

The catalog offered by Le numineux consists of philosophical and spiritual works  that marked his career. Several of these titles, from the publisher's personal collection,  are long out of print and now unavailable in French, others are available in digital format for the very first time.

Each of the texts has been revised and annotated  by the editor, in order to update certain passages or correct typos and inconsistencies that have survived over time. Diagrams and tables have also been reviewed by our designers and products  in high resolution.
